Description from the seller

Biedermeier Wardrobe – Mahogany – circa 1840
Large-format two-door wardrobe from the Biedermeier period, dating to around 1840.

The wardrobe is veneered with finely figured mahogany. The strictly structured front is defined by two tall, curved-profile door panels and a robust, overhanging cornice.

Particularly noteworthy is the largely preserved original interior. The left half of the cabinet features several pull-out shelves and two large drawers. The right half contains original wooden hook boards as well as another large drawer. Only the clothes rail currently present was added later.

The wardrobe is in an authentic, age-appropriate condition with patina and signs of use. In the upper area of the left door the veneer is damaged. The two doors do not close completely cleanly at the moment.

Dating: circa 1840
Era/Style: Biedermeier
Material: Wood, mahogany veneer
Dimensions: 210 × 157 × 66 cm (H × W × D, including cornice)
Interior: original
Condition: age-appropriate with veneer damage and slight signs of wear

A representative Biedermeier cabinet with particularly beautiful mahogany grain and unusually well-preserved historic interior.

Pickup in the Krefeld area. Please bring sufficient blankets for transport protection of the parts. I am happy to help with dismantling and loading into your vehicle with a loading length of about 2 meters. Appropriate tools are available.
