Pharmacy jar (2) - Polychrome wood - Pharmacy containers

Two lacquered and painted wooden pharmacy containers from the late nineteenth century. They are typical artifacts from a herbalist’s shop or galenic pharmacy, made of wood and with the contents written in scientific language. The inscriptions 'Radice d'eleboro' and 'Borace raffinato' are present, used in that period for cures, and they are in good condition. This type of wood kept the crystals dry and ready to be weighed on the pharmacist's balance. They both measure 11x30x20 cm.
