Christofle - Centrepiece - Silverplated - Hot plate 1890

The famous and renowned Christofle chauffe-plat (1880-1900)

Very beautiful silvered metal hot plate from Christofle ~1900 – diameter without the handles 24.5 cm
– good condition
copper and brass silvered by the house CHRISTOFLE, complete with its cover plate. It features superb movement-prone (ornate) gadroons joined by a moulded ring, attached to the body by finely sculpted foliate staples.

The whole rests on four delicately worked baluster feet.

Condition report:
Some wear to the silvering on the upper part, at the junction of the cover plate, consistent with its age and use. The silvering of the body is in good condition.
This burner retains its original silvering. With the exception of a few localized signs of time past and use, the silvering of the body is in good condition.
