Description from the seller
Set of 6 dessert wine glasses (late harvest) with a height of 13.3 cm and a diameter of 7.4 cm, and a bottle with a numbered stopper, height 38 cm and diameter 15 cm. The producer is a well-known Swedish brand specializing in tableware, tableware and interior design, crystalware: Duka, from the Sergel series (inspired/designed with references to the Swedish artist and sculptor Johan Tobias Sergel). Year founded: 1962. History: Born from the union of 16 independent Swedish shops specializing in porcelain, glass, and home goods (the oldest of which had opened in 1920 in Linköping by Hjalmar Blomkvist). Description: The transparent, brilliantly clear crystal goblet, mouth-blown, is an elegant conical stemware with a tapered bowl supported by a stem worked with a central node (nodolated stem) and a flat circular base. The distinguishing feature is the incised and gold/bronze-decorated frieze along the upper band of the bowl, depicting festoons, stylized drapery, bows, and laurel garlands in a strictly neoclassical style. Origin of the decor: The design draws inspiration from the neoclassical friezes and motifs created by the Swedish court sculptor and artist Johan Tobias Sergel (1740–1814), from whom the series takes its name.
