Lamp - Metal, Chrome

Table Lamp / Space Age Spotlight "Eyeball" – Attributed to Goffredo Reggiani – Italy, 1970s

Iconic adjustable desk lamp model "Eyeball" (or "Bullseye"), a perfect example of the Italian Space Age style of the 1970s and commonly attributed to the renowned Goffredo Reggiani manufacturing company.
Characterized by the striking chromatic contrast between the glossy red-painted metal housing and the chromed metal finish, this lamp represents a classic piece with a strong visual impact for vintage design enthusiasts.
Technical and Design Details:
Adjustable spherical diffuser: Angle adjustable along the horizontal axis via the chrome-plated forked support (gimbal). The shade features a chromed front ring and rear vents for heat dissipation.
Base & Switch: Original circular base with a recessed cast-in toggle switch on the upper part.
Preservation of the Wiring: Preserves the original vintage electrical wiring and components (cable, strain relief, and two-pole plug).
Marks and Patina: Under the base there is the circular imprint left by the original manufacturer's adhesive label (lost over time, as often happens with these pieces).
Conditions:
The item is in good vintage condition and functional. It shows light, natural signs of wear, such as very small scratches on the red lacquer and physiological oxidation spots on the chrome, which attest to its authenticity and period.
