Gerti Bierenbroodspot (1940) - Untitled

Gerti Bierenbroodspot is a versatile artist, using many diverse materials and mastering various disciplines. The central theme in her work you can describe as a labyrinth of time in which we wander. An important source of inspiration for Bierenbroodspot is classical antiquity; she has therefore also traveled a lot through the Middle East and worked there on site. Through these journeys she has seen many excavations, which are part of her work, as well as the colors and materials that Gerti Bierenbroodspot uses for this. In many of Bierenbroodspot's works, especially in her paintings, you encounter parts of ancient temples, and other structures.
