Description from the seller
Salters No.50 kitchen scale 10 kg
From my private collection of beautiful metal everyday objects, I offer a special kitchen scale from the early part of the last century for purchase.
This SALTER’S FAMILY SCALE N°50 with a dial for a maximum of 10 kg was completely rusted inside and out and non-functional. It has been carefully de-rusted and restored to working order. The coating is a high-quality powder coating; the ornaments on the housing are not painted but galvanically gilded. The dial is brass without surface sealant.
The revived object, manufactured in Great Britain, is estimated to date back to around 1900–1920.
Condition: signs of wear due to age, functional – accuracy has not been tested. The photos are part of the description.
Dimensions: bowl diameter: approx. 24 cm, height: approx. 32 cm
Weight: approx. 2.8 kg (2820 g)
Material: cast iron, brass (dial), tinplate (bowl)
Color: turquoise, gold
This is a private sale in accordance with the pictures and description; all information has been provided to the best of our knowledge. The object is about 80–100 years old and used. Therefore, no returns or exchanges are possible, sale is without warranty/guarantee. Special care is taken to ensure good packaging and reliable shipping.
