Elegant mechanical wine opener with a gold-colored metal frame, presumably brass, on a profiled wooden base. The decorative uprights are adorned with foliate motifs and crowned with ornaments.

With the crank and screw mechanism the bottle holder can be tilted slowly and controlled. This makes it possible to pour wine or port gently, keeping as much sediment as possible in the bottle. The crank mechanism works perfectly.

Originating from family ownership. According to family tradition, the device was already in the possession of our grandparents. The exact age and manufacturer are unknown; there is no clearly legible maker's mark.
