Description from the seller

Oak wood coffee table with a tub-shaped top. It opens with a communicating drawer in the fascia. The two lyre-shaped legs are joined by a storage shelf. Style of Charles X. These tables, in French “tables volantes,” were lightweight and easy to move from room to room according to needs. Very popular at the time, they remain highly appreciated even now for their functional side and their small footprint in daily life, serving, for example, as a smoking table or a coffee table, a reading table, a lamp stand, or a small storage cabinet for embroidery and sewing work.
