One 0.21 g gold nugget (pepita) from Lapland, Sotajoki, Finland.
Description from the seller
The gold in this nugget from Lapland existed long before the Sun.
It was forged over 4.6 billion years ago in supernovae explosions and stellar collisions, before the Sun and the Earth even existed. It traveled through space as stardust and became trapped in the mother rock of Lapland, nearly 2 billion years old. It then spent millennia beneath Arctic ice, until the thaw carried it to the rivers. Gold is not manufactured or printed: it is found. And there won’t be more.
In 1868, an expedition found it in the Ivalo River and sparked Finland’s first gold rush. In 1945, with the war just over, men returning from the front climbed into Lemmenjoki to try their luck with gold. Even today, every summer, dozens of prospectors wash it under the midnight sun; the rest of the year, snow and polar night cover everything. Lapland produces very little gold, and no two nuggets are alike: this one is unique.
Why do you need gold? Those men were coming from a war and went to mine gold. It’s not by chance: in every war, many who had to flee with the clothes on their backs took gold, because it fits in a pocket and is valuable across borders. Wars are returning today, debt keeps growing, and talk of collapse is everywhere. Your account money is a promise from the bank; gold is nobody’s promise, and no government can print it.
To survive a crisis you don’t need a ingot, but something you can divide and exchange. That’s why nuggets are the most practical way to own gold: small, divisible, tradable, and recognizable anywhere in the world. The time to have them is before you need them.
You’ll receive it in a small glass vial that protects it and lets you admire it without touching it. I’ll ship it as soon as possible after payment.
A piece of the oldest Arctic ice, older than the Sun, to protect what you have. There is only one: bid for it.
Ideal for:
• Collectors of minerals and natural gold nuggets
• Collectors of native gold of high purity
• Lovers of the history of the Australian gold rush
• Lovers of unique geological specimens
• Those who value physical gold as a real, tangible asset
• An extraordinary gift for someone special
