SOLID WOOD GATE-LEAF CONSOLE/TABLE
Gate-leg table in oak, of probable English manufacture. Rectangular top with two leaves, supported by characteristic uprights and barley-twist turned legs, with also turned stretchers and shaped feet. The typology and construction elements recall English production in the Charles II / William & Mary style. Period to be verified, presumably between the late 17th and 19th centuries. The top shows some stains from use, giving it a lived-in appearance.

CONSOLLE/TAVOLO A BANDELLE IN LEGNO
MASSELLO
Tavolo a bandelle (gate-leg table) in legno di
quercia, di probabile manifattura inglese. Piano
rettangolare a due bandelle, sostenuto da
caratteristici montanti e gambe tornite a
torciglione (barley twist), con traversi anch’essi
torniti e piedi sagomati. La tipologia e gli elementi
costruttivi richiamano la produzione inglese di
gusto Charles II / William & Mary. Epoca da
verificare, presumibilmente tra la fine del XVII e il XIX secolo
Piano con alcune macchie dovute all’uso che danno l’aspetto di vissuto.
