The unused, complete LEGO Star Wars TIE Interceptor set (7181) is made of plastic and remains sealed in its damaged original box.
Description from the seller
This advanced construction set of the TIE Interceptor is part of the very first LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series, launched in 2000. This was the first generation of the Ultimate Collector Series and established the distinctive format and presentation style.
I know this firsthand because I was the Product Manager at LEGO at the time and was responsible for the launch of this series. I was part of the project team that developed LEGO Star Wars within LEGO Marketing and Product Development in Billund, Denmark. The LEGO Star Wars partnership was still new at the time, coinciding with the release of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.
We developed this series in close cooperation with Lucasfilm's Licensing Department, which reviewed and approved every aspect of the products.
The box has never been opened, and therefore I cannot provide photographs of the contents. This also means that the set has never been assembled, and all components remain completely untouched and intact.
The outer packaging shows some minor signs of storage and age, but it has been kept in my personal storage room since 2000.
The packaging design and visual presentation of the LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series were developed by the Danish advertising agency Advance. I personally prepared the creative brief for the agency and approved the final design that was ultimately used for the product line.
