This is an original acrylic painting on canvas by Romanian artist Maria Postea, depicting water lilies on Snagov Lake, Romania. Entitled "Water Lilies I", the work was created in 2026. Maria explores the interplay between flat areas of colour and three-dimensional effects, using a vibrant, fresh palette to create a lively and inviting composition. The painting highlights the delicate transparency of the leaves, the striking contrasts between light and shadow, and the reflections shimmering on the water. The sinuous shapes and layered foliage capture the lush, organic beauty of the water lilies, bringing the atmosphere of the lake to life.
