Description from the seller
Up for auction: a classic, sturdy and fascinating vintage camera with historical flavor: the Robot I, produced in Germany by the historic Otto Berning & Co. factories starting in 1934.
The lot is in good overall condition, functional, and is complete with its original vintage protective case in black leather branded "Robot".
Optics: The original Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 3 cm (30 mm) f/2.8 lens presents itself with structurally sound lenses and completely free of mold or scratches. A natural internal vintage patina due to age is noted, a completely normal detail for a pre-war lens from the 1930s.
Mechanical: The lot has been tested and is functioning.
Aesthetic: Good overall condition of the camera body and the lens barrel, as documented by the photographs. The metal frame with chrome finishes maintains a strong collectible visual impact, free of structural dings, showing only the normal signs of time and handling consistent with the object's age and historical significance.
Tracked international shipping, fully insured, with professionally super-protective packaging to ensure maximum safety during transport.
