Boeotian (Archaic Greece) terracotta statuette

Beautiful ancient replica, 20 cm

Superb hand-sculpted anthropomorphic terracotta figurine, faithfully reproducing the style of the famous “Pappades” of Boeotia (Greece, 6th century BC).

• Material: Terracotta, hollow interior structure shaped by hand (in keeping with ancient techniques).
• Decoration: Geometric painting in brown and red pigments (chevron motifs, drapery lines and facial features).
• Condition: Evidence of an ancient restoration (visible at the junction of the head and shoulder), which testifies to the age of this copy and gives it a fine cabinet-of-curiosities patina.
Some normal signs of wear under the base.
A very beautiful display piece, ideal for archaeology enthusiasts, the Grand Tour, or classical décor.
