Pillbox - .800 silver - Alfredo Ridi Silversmith

Refined pocket pillbox of square shape in solid .800 silver, finely decorated on the lid with a geometric pattern of parallel lines and guilloché/engine-turned engraving. On the lid there are hallmarks clearly visible: the .800 silver fineness and the factory mark 236 FI stamped in the old lozenge type (lacking a five-point star) which, with certainty, attributes the piece to the Florentine workshop of Alfredo Ridi in the period between 1951 and 1968. The hinge is solid and snaps shut perfectly. It is in good condition and comes from a private collection. The photos are part of the description. Excellent collectible piece.
