Description from the seller
Quad 33 - Excellent classic British preamplifier, originally designed to work in conjunction with the Quad 303. Of very robust construction, fully analog, it has inputs for phono (record player), tape, radio/tuner and auxiliary. It has volume control (stereo volume potentiometer), balance control, tone controls (bass and treble), filters intended to eliminate noise, and an output designed to feed the Quad 303 directly. As connectors it uses the famous DIN plugs, instead of modern RCA. It is characterized by a musical, smooth and natural sound, with an excellent midrange.
Quad 303 - It is a stereo power amplifier, highly regarded, particularly known for the quality and naturalness of the sound it produces, more than for brute power. It is a stereo power amplifier, class AB. It has a power of 45 W RMS into 8 ohms, with a frequency response of about 30 Hz - 35 kHz. With a signal-to-noise ratio of about 100 dB, it weighs 8.2 kg. It features the famous output stage "Triples", one of the most striking technical characteristics of the 303.
Quad FM 3 - It is the classic tuner of the same family, and was conceived specifically to work with the 33/303. It is a simple device, but quite capable. Its weight is about 2.7 kg. The frequency response is 20 Hz - 15 kHz +/- 1 dB, and the band goes from 88 to 108 MHz. This iconic trio is perfectly functional, in excellent condition. It is becoming relatively rare to manage to assemble these three components, which were originally designed to constitute a system.
