Description from the seller
Rare Pair of Small Antique Dutch Brass Candlesticks – 19th Century
In excellent condition – No reserve.
A charming and uncommon pair of small antique Dutch brass candlesticks, dating to the second half of the 19th century. Their compact proportions, beautifully turned baluster stems and distinctive scalloped drip pans give them a refined, traditional appearance.
The candlesticks feature a warm golden brass finish, elegant stepped detailing and broad, domed circular bases. The decorative drip pans add character, while the polished surfaces beautifully reflect the light. Despite their modest size, the pair has a substantial combined weight of approx. 380 g.
These petite candlesticks are particularly appealing because of their unusual proportions and traditional Dutch character. They are ideal for a period interior, an antique collection or as decorative accents on a mantelpiece, side table or intimate dining setting.
