Italian Grapevine Pendant Lamp – Hand-blown Murano glass / 'Grappa' Lamp – 1960s

Italian pendant lamp, also known as the 'Grappa' or grapevine lamp. This model was produced in Italy in the 1960s. Attributed to Murano.

The lamp is built entirely from dozens of individual hand-blown glass elements with a subtle 'pulegoso' structure (air bubbles in the glass), which provides a beautiful diffused light and a warm ambience when the lamp is lit.

The glass 'grapes' are manually attached to a central conical metal mesh frame with metal wire, giving it the organic shape of a grape cluster.

This specific piece is in a stunning vintage condition and fits perfectly in a Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, or eclectic interior.
