Beautiful Orthodox icon composed of four compartments depicting Christ Pantocrator surrounded by several saints and sacred figures. The decoration features a rich ornamental gilded background engraved and painted, with geometric frames and polychrome floral motifs typical of certain popular Russian productions of the 19th century.
The Christ blessing holds a phylactery (scroll) inscribed in Cyrillic. The halos, finely radiating, and the backgrounds delicately punched, give a beautiful decorative presence to the whole.
Authentic devotional work for domestic worship, made in egg tempera on a wooden panel.
