GIEN - Joëlle Wolff - Table service (3) - Earthenware

Charming earthenware porcelain from Gien, part of the “Ours” collection, created by J. Wolff for the famous French manufacturer.

The decor pays homage to the tender and nostalgic world of antique teddy bears, depicted with great softness and realism. Each character is associated with a date, notably 1910, 1926, 1937 and 1950, evoking different eras in the history of toys and reinforcing the collectible character of this series.

The set comprises two individually decorated round plates as well as a large square piece featuring four portraits of different bears. The warm tones, delicate fur details, colorful ribbons and the bright white background give the whole a refined aesthetic, both decorative and full of charm.

This collection, now discontinued, will appeal to lovers of French faience, of Gien, of animal-themed décor and of vintage-inspired collectible pieces.

A very beautiful set, original and endearing, that will easily find its place both in a collection and in a refined table setting.

The largest plate measures 29.5 cm in length and 26.5 cm in width.
The two plates measure 22 cm in diameter.
