Description from the seller
Sansui AU-317 II (also known as Mk II)
Vintage integrated stereo amplifier produced in Japan from the late 1978/1979 until 1981. It represents the evolution of the famous AU-317 of the first generation, introducing higher power and some circuit modifications.
Appreciated by enthusiasts for its sound, typically dynamic, clean and with generous punch.
A "muscular" amplifier with its 60 Watts RMS is capable of driving demanding speakers.
The Sansui AU-317 II (Mk II) originally uses a pair of Sanken power transistors (output) for each channel.
Finding today the original Sanken transistors of the era (2SC2261 / 2SA981) healthy and original is extremely difficult, and the online market is unfortunately full of counterfeit Chinese fakes that compromise the original musicality.
The factory-installed original components are:
• 2SC2261 (NPN transistor)
• 2SA981 (PNP transistor)
Tested, it is functioning.
You will find an amplifier with its original components not repaired or messed with.
In general well-kept, note a broken pin (last photo) and residues of adhesive tape on the lid as visible in the photos.
Technical Specifications:
• Output power: 60 watts per channel into 8 Ω (in stereo mode) (gains 10W over the first version).
• Frequency response: 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz.
• Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): 0.03%.
• Circuitry: DC configuration (Direct Coupled), designed to reduce distortion and linearize the response.
• Audio inputs: Phono (MM), Tuner, Aux, Tape 1 & 2 (Rec/Play), front microphone input with mix adjustment.
• Front panel controls: Bass, Treble, Loudness, High Filter (anti-noise filter) and speaker selector (Speakers A / B / A+B).
• Weight: 9.8 kg.
