Badge - Italy - 20th - late

For true collectors, I offer a piece that is truly interesting and important: a rare cast-bronze medal dedicated to the promising Italian driver Bruno Deserti, born in Bologna on 19 February 1942, who died on 25 May 1965 at the age of 23 in Monza during a private testing session aboard a Ferrari 330 P3, in preparation for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The tests included drivers of the caliber of Bandini, Scarfiotti, and others. The medal has a diameter of 61 mm, weighing about 100 grams, executed by sculptor C. Tomba, with the signature shown under the driver's helmet. The box is not from the period and is not original.
