PALESTINE. 5 Mils. 1946.

- Year: 1946.
- Inscriptions: Obverse: PALESTINE · פלשתינה (א״י) · فلسطين around a vegetal wreath; date 1946 and ١٩٤٦ at the bottom. Reverse: 5 MILS · חמישה מיל · خمسة مِلّ in circular arrangement around the central hole; peripheral pearled border.
- Grade: UNC Detail (PCGS).
5 Mils coin in a base alloy with the characteristic central hole, a distinctive feature of the British Mandate emissions in Palestine. The design features a wreath of stylized branches on the obverse and the face value in three languages —English, Hebrew and Arabic— reflecting the administrative and cultural complexity of the territory. The reliefs are well defined with little wear, preserving complete details in the leaves and typography. A representative specimen of the last issues before the Mandate ended in 1948, during a period of intense political transformation in the region.
Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to be absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside the EU that has a special tax agreement (example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
