Description from the seller
Artisanship
In an auction, an extraordinary functional work of art: a low table / sculptural base finely carved by hand from a single block of solid wood.
The structure consists of three imposing elephant heads joined together with masterful craftsmanship. The details of the carving are of exceptional quality: the folds of the ears, the textures of the trunks, and the finely finished tusks make this piece a true decorative sculpture with a striking presence.
In Oriental culture and in feng shui, the elephant with the trunk raised or curved is a well-known symbol of good luck, strength, wisdom, and prosperity, making this element not only a piece of furniture with great charm but also a powerful home talisman.
