Nikon S Rangefinder camera

Offered: splendid Nikon S rangefinder camera body in good to very good condition.
Robust precision and optical quality.

The Nikon S is a 35mm rangefinder camera introduced in 1951 as a development of the Nikon M. The camera is equipped with a horizontally running shutter with cloth curtains and offers shutter speeds from 1/1000 to 1 second, plus B and T modes. The operation is fully mechanical, which makes the camera highly reliable.

The Nikon S is compatible with interchangeable lenses via the Nikon S bayonet mount (based on the Contax mount), with support for a wide range of Nikkor lenses. The viewfinder is crystal clear and has integrated rangefinder optics with an effective base of about 67 mm, ensuring precise focusing, even at larger apertures.

A suitable Nikkor-H. C, 50 mm f/2.0 and a varifocal finder type 1 are offered separately. The lens and finder in the last two photos do not belong to the auction. You are bidding only on the camera body.

A valuable tool for the serious analog photographer and a showpiece for the collector.
Camera comes with a body cap as shown in the photos..
