Max Modolo’s contemporary biomorphic vase is made of 3D-printed stoneware and has a white base with greenish glaze drips.
Description from the seller
Weight 1.15 kg.
Biomorphic stoneware vase –
Elegant stoneware vase with a strongly organic and sculptural character, entirely produced by 3D printing. This technology allows the creation of complex shapes, articulated folds, and irregular volumes that are difficult to achieve with traditional ceramic shaping techniques, opening new expressive possibilities in contemporary design.
The surface is richly textured with undulations and vertical ribbing that evoke natural and vegetal forms.
The upper part features an intense ribbed apex, while the body develops into soft, irregular volumes, accentuated by drips of greenish glaze that descend onto the white matte base, creating a striking color and tactile contrast.
Fired at 1230 °C, the piece offers a robust structure and a glossy, vibrant surface typical of high-temperature firing.
Height: 21 cm
Maximum diameter: 18 cm
An artwork that combines technological innovation with artistic sensibility, ideal for collectors of contemporary ceramics and biomorphic design. Ready for display or decorative use.
Technical details: Material: High-temperature stoneware ceramic 1230 °C
This piece perfectly blends function and sculpture: it can be used as a decorative vase or simply admired as an autonomous work of art.
Max Modolo produces these ceramics in his studio in Italy.
His research concerns the forms of ceramics and their finish.
He is very interested in glazes explored by artists such as Guido Gambone and Marcello Fantoni and has always been drawn to the shapes of Lucie Rie and Hans Coper. More information at www.maxmodolo.com
