Description from the seller
Bang & Olufsen Beogram CD 7000 compact disc player, designed by Jacob Jensen and produced in Denmark (circa 1992–1995). Technically in 100% good working condition (fast track reading, smoothly operating motorized loading system and trouble-free playback); visually in used condition with clear signs of wear consistent with age and intensive use.
Within the prestigious Beosystem 7000, the Beogram CD 7000 represents the ultimate digital source component from Bang & Olufsen of this era. The unit shares the same clean, minimalist design language as the other 7000 components, with the CD mechanism completely hidden behind a slim aluminum front panel. The player is built around high-quality Philips studio components: a robust swing-arm laser mechanism (CDM-4 industrial version) paired with dual 16-bit digital-to-analog converters (TDA1541A Silver Crown / dual DAC architecture) and fourfold oversampling with digital filtering. This configuration is internationally renowned for its exceptionally smooth, analog-like sound character with deep spaciousness and natural calm in the treble.
Sonically, the CD 7000 delivers an extremely dynamic, balanced and detail-rich sound image with a very low noise floor and minimal phase errors. The loading mechanism is motorized and glides out noiselessly with a light touch of the front panel or via remote control. In addition to the analog audio output with full Datalink support for communication within a B&O setup, the player is equipped with a digital coaxial S/PDIF output for direct connection to an external digital-to-analog converter.
