An attractive, naturally formed amethyst geode from Uruguay, featuring a deep crystal-lined cavity with beautiful shades of violet and purple.
The interior displays an impressive colour transition, from almost colourless quartz along the outer edges through delicate lavender crystals to rich, deep purple amethyst towards the centre.
Numerous well-developed quartz crystals create a sparkling interior, while the surrounding agate and chalcedony layers reveal delicate natural banding in grey, cream and warm brown tones.
The front has been cut and polished to expose the attractive agate banding and crystal cavity, while the reverse retains its natural rough volcanic rock surface.
