Set of four vintage wooden stools from the Netherlands, in good used condition with minor signs of age and marks.
Description from the seller
Four very decorative milking stools. It concerns an untreated natural-wood stool, 31 cm high, with a diameter of 24 cm and a weight of 1250 g, and a slightly smaller stool of 30 cm high, a diameter of 21.5 cm and a weight of 1000 g, a stool of 28.5 cm high, a diameter of 22 cm and a weight of 1150 g, and a smaller stool weighing 800 g, a height of 23 cm and a diameter of 23.5 cm. The small stool probably dates from the 1950s or early 1960s and is carved in a floral motif; at one point in its life it was painted gray. The three other stools probably date from the 1970s or 1980s of the previous century. The stools are completely stable. They have a sturdy round top and the three legs fit firmly into it. You can feel a slight wobble in a couple of legs, but they still sit firmly and stably in the sockets at the bottom. The stools all show logical signs of use, but still look very good; indeed, those signs of use give them a very nice appearance (see photos). Whether the stools were made as milking stools is unlikely, but they have the form for it. You can use the stools as plant stands, as pedestals, and even as side tables (see photos). Of course they can also be used as stools! In any interior these stools are very decorative and functional pieces of furniture. The stools are professionally packed and insured for shipment.
