A heavily used metal steam engine with a copper boiler housing and painted sheet-metal base, measuring 32 × 23 × 27 cm and weighing 3 kg.
Description from the seller
A steam engine from my father’s estate is coming up for auction. The manufacturer is apparently Regner. This information comes from the inventory list my father kept, which records the manufacturer, condition and, where available, year of manufacture for each steam engine. This engine is used but has no visible defects. It also has no manufacturer’s markings of any kind, but according to my father’s notes, it was made by Regner.
This engine stands out for its boiler house, which is entirely made of copper, and its very precisely crafted steam engine. Only the base plate is made of painted sheet metal. My father’s list says that the engine works, although I have not tested it myself.
The base plate is approx. 30 cm long and 22 cm wide, and the height from the base plate to the top of the chimney is 24 cm.
Included is a three-flame kerosene burner, although this is apparently not the original burner, if there ever was one. It is made of sheet metal. My father noted in his list that it was probably homemade. I have not weighed the engine, but it is very heavy; I estimate it weighs 3 kg. Unfortunately, I cannot measure the boiler, as it is permanently fitted inside the boiler house. The boiler house is 14 cm long and 8 cm high.
I will be listing more steam engines from my father’s collection in the near future.
Shipping within Germany costs €30 due to the weight.
