Description from the seller

A magnificent and complete set of 12 full-size dinner knives (total length 24.5 cm, blade 13 cm) dating from the late 19th century (Belle Époque era), embodying the refined dining culture and elegance of European bourgeois and aristocratic homes of the period. During this golden age, high-end tableware was custom-ordered: each blade in this set features a finely hand-engraved intertwined "C.P." monogram, paired with the maker's mark G.J. enclosed in an oval cartouche.
The set features hand-turned ebonised wood handles, enhanced by beautifully embossed ferrules decorated with neo-Renaissance scrollwork and floral motifs. The knives are preserved in their original presentation box lined with pale blue satin. A wonderful collector's piece of authentic antique craftsmanship, perfect for sophisticated table settings or antique displays.
Dimensions: Total length of a single knife 24.5 cm; blade length 13 cm.
Single knife weight: 48 grams.
Condition: Excellent overall vintage preservation considering its age, complete and intact within its original case.
IMPORTANT SHIPPING NOTICE: To ensure maximum safety, protection, and professional handling of this antique presentation box during transit, shipping will be managed exclusively through an authorized Mail Boxes Etc. (MBE) shipping center with professional, tracked, and insured packaging. Please note that we do not ship outside the European Union.
