Description from the seller
Exclusive and magnificent AM/FM stereo receiver H.H. Scott R-326L, designed in Maynard, Massachusetts (USA) and assembled in Japan during the 1976-1977 period. A flawless collectible piece that perfectly represents the golden age of high-fidelity vintage audio.
Serial number: 368915KC
Aesthetic condition:
• Exterior: The elegant original wooden cabinet is in an outstanding state of preservation, preserving its natural grain with great vividness. The brushed aluminum front panel looks clean and bright. It shows only a minor cosmetic wear from normal use around the Power/Speakers selector, a minor detail clearly visible in macro photographs. The black caps on the front toggle levers are 100% original.
• Interior: The cabinet has been disassembled solely to photographically document its interior. It preserves in perfect condition the original factory stamp "AUD" certifying the authenticity of the wooden cabinet. The lower metal chassis and the electronic boards are completely clean and free of rust or sulfatation.
Technical maintenance and performance:
• Premium Upgrade (Recap): The power supply has been cleaned and recently upgraded by installing new audiophile-grade main capacitors from the prestigious German brand Mundorf (Mlytic Audio). This improvement guarantees ultra-clean current delivery, eliminates the typical hum of vintage equipment, and ensures a long service life for the receiver.
• Lighting: Operating at 100%. Both the analog tuning dial and the two analog VU meters are fully backlit with their prized original warm light. The stereo reception LED indicator also functions correctly.
• Sound and connectivity: The unit offers a typical seventies sound: warm, with deep bass response and an excellent phono stage for turntables. On the rear panel it features the international De-emphasis selector (25µs/50µs/75µs), which allows adjustment to the 50µs European standard for crisp FM radio reception with sparkle in the highs.
Technical specifications:
• Power: 30 to 37 watts RMS per channel into 8 ohms.
• Dimensions: 46.6 cm W x 14.2 cm H x 39.0 cm D.
• Weight: 12 kg (requires high-density special packaging).
Shipping details:
The lot will be shipped perfectly protected. A professional technical packaging with special padded corner protection on the wooden cabinet will be applied to ensure it arrives unharmed at its destination. Includes international tracking number.
