Canon EF Single lens reflex camera (SLR)

Canon EF Body "Black Beauty" – 35mm SLR, FD Mount, Made in Japan (1973)

The Canon EF, nicknamed the "Black Beauty", was introduced in 1973 as the advanced amateur model positioned just below the professional Canon F-1. It was Canon's first camera with shutter-priority auto exposure and the only FD-mount body with a vertical-travel Copal Square shutter (flash sync 1/125 sec). Shutter speeds from 1/2 to 1/1000 sec are mechanical and work without a battery.
