Description from the seller
Set of 9 water goblets in clear, high-brilliance lead crystal, featuring a refined hot-gold rim along the lip of the cup. It has a faceted, worked stem that fits into a circular base decorated with a faceted star-cut motif and a gilded edge. German manufacture specializing in lead crystal (often identified by the origin mark Echt Bleikristall – 24% Lead Crystal) or producers such as Nachtmann / Anna Hütte. In modern commercial contexts, it is also revived in lines of elegant glassware (e.g., the Kleopatra line with gold thread). Era: Second half of the 20th century (roughly the 1970s–1990s). Detail of the stem and base of the crystal goblet. The stem features a faceted, hexagonal/octagonal shape with molded nodes, while the plinth/base presents a starburst motif carved from the bottom (star cut) with a hand-finished gilded perimeter. Condition: evident partial wear of the gilding on some goblets. The gold thread along the rim is worn and irregular in places, slightly revealing the underlying workmanship. This is a classic sign of age and use (or frequent washing), common in era glassware with hot-applied gold decorations. The underlying glass remains highly transparent and brilliant, with no visible cracks or chips along the lip. Size: height 14.2 cm × diameter 7.7 cm.
