Up for auction is a beautiful and iconic Marantz SD-5 vintage dynamic stereo headphone, originating from the golden era of high-fidelity audio (produced circa 1974–1978). This premium headphone features the classic 1970s retro look, complete with deep brown padded ear cushions, a padded headband, and stylish champagne/gold accents.
Designed to deliver a warm, rich analog sound, this is a fantastic collector's item that pairs beautifully with any vintage Marantz receiver or amplifier setup.

Condition & Functionality

• Technical state: Perfect working condition. Fully tested and sounding exactly as it should. No crackling or channel imbalances.
• Cosmetic state: Excellent condition. Extremely well-preserved for its age (around 50 years old), with only minimal signs of use. The padding on the ear cups and headband remains very neat and comfortable.
• Important Cosmetic Note: The silver aluminum plates on the outside of both ear cups are still firmly attached, but please note that the printed text 'Marantz SD-5' has faded away over time and is almost completely gone. This is purely cosmetic and does not affect the operation or structural integrity.
• Cable & Plug: Original fixed cable with the standard 6.3 mm (1/4 inch) stereo jack plug in perfect condition.
