African horned power statue. - DR Congo

Imposing statue of African power in dark carved wood, depicting a standing figure with stylized forms. The head is crowned by a long curved horn adorned with numerous metal cabochons, while natural feathers complete the coiffure, reinforcing its ritual character.

The face, with half-closed eyes and a geometric beard, exudes an expression of strength and serenity. The two hands rest on a substantial ventral element richly decorated with metal studs, a symbol of protection and power in many Central African traditions.

The sculpture features a lovely antique patina from dark brown to black, with signs of wear, natural aging, and aging cracks that testify to its antiquity and authenticity. It rests on a cylindrical base sculpted in the continuity of the piece.

A piece of character, this sculpture is ideal for a collection of African art, high-end ethnic decor, or a contemporary interior seeking a bold and authentic piece.
