Description from the seller
A beautiful and authentic polychrome earthenware bowl from the world-renowned Frisian factory Koninklijke Tichelaar Makkum. This bowl features a characteristic cannellated, wavy edge and is decorated with a refined, multicolored floral motif.
The underside is fully marked with the original hand-painted factory mark of Tichelaar Makkum (the crowned shield). In addition, the back shows the model number 26, serial number 2, the painters' initials HD and SV, and the year letters LL. These year letters indicate that the bowl was produced in 1992.
Special collectible detail: Koninklijke Tichelaar Makkum definitively stopped producing this traditional hand-painted decorative pottery in 2013. Items such as this are therefore no longer made and are highly sought after by collectors of Hollands plateel.
