This dance mask was not worn over the face, but on the head. Thanks to the plant-fiber netting covering the dancer’s head and face, the mask took on greater significance, effectively erasing the dancer’s presence and replacing him.

Ce masque de danse n'était pas porté au visage mais sur la tête,. Grace au filet végétal qui recouvrait la tête et le visage du danseur, ce masque prenait de l'importance effaçant de fait la présence du danseur se substituant à lui.
