Description from the seller
JVC FX-330L is a classic, digital hi‑fi class radio tuner produced in Japan in the second half of the 80s (around 1987–1988). The device features simple, minimalist design from that era.
As a "Vintage" device, JVC FX-330L enjoys the reputation of a very durable component, rarely failing. The RF path is characterized by good sensitivity, allowing a clean reception of stations in stereo mode even when using a simple wire antenna. The audio signal routed to the amplifier is balanced and does not introduce excessive noise, preserving the analog character of the sound typical for equipment from that era.
This model was equipped with microprocessor control (Computer Controlled Tuner), which in the 80s was strongly emphasized on the front panels of audio equipment. It provides stable operation and automation of parameter selection.
The use of a quartz‑lock synthesis loop guarantees high tuning precision and wave stability. This eliminates the problem of signal "drift" and the need for manual frequency correction.
The device allows programming up to 16 radio stations (assigned to physical buttons on the front panel), which facilitates quick switching between favorite stations.
A bright, backlit display shows the current frequency and operating mode (e.g., signal indicator or Stereo mode).
The letter "L" in the model name denotes dedication to the European market, taking into account the long‑wave frequency band. The tuner supports three frequency ranges:
1. FM (UKF) - standard stereo and mono band (87.5 – 108 MHz).
2. MW (Medium Wave) - traditional AM band.
3. LW (Long Wave)
Dimensions: 435 x 60 x 230 mm.
Weight: about 2 kg (light, but solid metal housing).
Power consumption: Very low, about 12 W during operation.
Connections:
o Analog audio output (2x RCA / Cinch) to connect to the Tuner or Aux input on the amplifier.
o FM antenna jacks (both 75 Ohm for coaxial cable and 300 Ohm).
o Terminals for the frame antenna (MW/LW) and grounding (GND).
