+/- 0.16% W. Peak (DIN)
Tape types: Type I / Type II / Type IV
Frequency response:
Type I (25-16,000 Hz +/-3 dB, IEC)
Type II (25-18,000 Hz +/-3 dB, IEC
Type IV (25-19,000 Hz +/-3 dB, IEC)
Total harmonic distortion: 1.8% with Type IV cassette

Track search: Yes, AMS, both decks
Dolby: B/C and HX-PRO
CD synchro recording
Notes
The Dolby HX PRO system provides improved linearity in the high-frequency range during recording.
Separate Dolby B and C systems on each deck allow noise reduction to be set independently during simultaneous recording, relay recording, and dubbing at normal speed.
BIAS calibration allows the optimum bias current to be set for each tape type.
Quick-reverse function switches the tape direction during recording and playback with minimal interruption.
Automatic tape-type detection during recording and playback.
Multi-AMS, Blank Skip, and Memory functions for conveniently locating tracks.
Relay function for sequential recording and playback on both decks.
Automatic playback start after the tape has been rewound.
Timer-controlled recording and playback when connected to a separately available timer.
Synchronized dubbing at either normal or high speed.
Simultaneous recording lets you record the same source on both decks.
Dubbing-level adjustment allows the recording level to be changed when dubbing at normal speed.
Fine adjustment of tape speed during playback and dubbing at normal speed (Deck A).
The fluorescent level meter responds very quickly and is easy to read.
Digital linear counter in minutes and seconds displays the elapsed recording and playback time for each deck.
Both transports operate completely independently. For example, you can record on one while playing back on the other. Alternatively, you can copy selected portions from one transport to the other and adjust the recording level for each. A light touch is detected, and the doors close quickly and very quietly under motor power. Many functions are concealed behind the aluminum flap. Both digital counters have a Memory function. Tape speed can be adjusted continuously and precisely. When dubbing from one transport to the other, the level can be fine-tuned. Reverse mode can be selected, as can sequential operation of both transports. As befits a studio unit, bias can be adjusted separately, and the balance is adjustable.
