Truly a rare and collectible piece of the Soviet watch industry - pocket watch Molnija, Christopher Columbus. 
Fully mechanical, hand wound timepiece.

Dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the opening of the Genoese Cristobal Colon, or as it was called in the Spanish way, fourth continent, by Christopher Columbus.
 
Three ships "Santa Maria", "Pinta", and "Niña" arrived, with a team of 91 people from the Canary Islands through the Atlantic Ocean, at the beginning of August  
On 12 October 1492 it reached the island of San Salvador. 
That night Captain Martin Pinzon on "Pinta" had a small lead, the sailor Rodrigo de Triana was on the bow. He saw the land for the first time.
 "Land!
 Land!" – Rodrigo shouted.
 
And a minute later thunder of cannon shots announced that America was opened.
 
This date became the official date of the discovery of America.
 
During his lifetime, Columbus went on three expeditions to explore its shores and to put Discovery on the map.
