Rare skull of an alligator gar. This fish owes its name to the fact that it resembles a crocodile and also has such rough scales. It is an ancient fish that has been swimming around for 110 million years, a real river monster. The record size ever caught is 2.5 metres. This fish reached an estimated age of 50 to 70 years old.

They live in the south of the USA. This one is from the Mississippi river. The fish this skull belonged to was no less than 2 metres long and weighed 150 pounds. They are rarely offered for sale and especially not in this size. Dimensions 44 cm x 19 cm.
