Beautiful yes-man (collecting box) from the missieprokuur of Zandhoven. The figurine itself seems made out of a light soft baked clay. The base may be made from plaster. The figurines were possibly created separately and placed on different plaster pedestals with custom inscriptions. With slight signs of wear (see photos). the head is possibly touched up in a few places (but certainly not in the last 35 years ...). Height: ca. 26 cm
The yes-man is signed Ch. Dauw and on the back of the pedestal is the provenance listed as an inscription:
Missieprokuur – Zandhoven - P.C.R 51.49.13 (… an old bank account number with only 6 digits…). See pictures for the signature and provenance.
Beautiful piece for the enthusiast.
Will be shipped with Bpost (track and trace). Pick up is possible by appointment (Belgium, Leuven region)
