This solid-looking table clock or mantel clock was made about a hundred years ago, or maybe even before that, by the German watchmaking factory of Gustav Becker. Clocks of this maker are of very great quality, as this clock also proves, because the timepiece functions well.

The cabinet stands on four flat, wooden legs. On top of the cabinet a wooden trim. Another decoration can be found at the bottom of the front. Underneath the dial is a facet-cut viewing glass allowing the pendulum to be visible. The cabinet does not show any flaws.

The timepiece has a power minimum duration of at least 8 days. On the rear plate the following markings have been added:  left "P18" and "H", right "M". Every half hour the clock will strike the required number of strokes on a round gong. The clock has two springs, one for the clockwork, the other for the strike. A key is present to wind the clock.

Dimensions W x H x D = 44 x 27 x 13.5 cm

This lot will be packed and sent by registered mail, but can also be picked up in Almere, the Netherlands.
