Up for auction an active Volume pedal by Boss, type PV1, made in Japan mid 1980 - to be used with any stringed electric instrument but also suitable for an electric piano, organ, accordeon, etc.
The die-cast aluminium housing has usermarks, but as for the condition and electronics all is well - the unit works with a 9 volts battery or a Boss AC adapter.
It's tested and fuctions 100%.

Instead of the usual potentiometer to make variations in soundvolume this device is equiped with a solid state component called Hall Generator wich is in fact a magnetic field sensor wich drives an opto coupler wich in its turn varies the volume; so there will be no scratching noises or loss of signal during use of the pedal.
It also has an amplifier on board with a mutual gain control.

I used the pedal for many years during the time I was a guitarplayer,
it served me well and never let me down.
It's 32cm long, 10cm wide and 7cm tall and weighs 1200 gramme.
