This is a very unusual set, it contains a listening in or eavesdropping microphone which has been built into a Hanhart Chronograph watch. In addition there is a recording case with a head telephone for listening to the recordings. This is all kept in the original leather briefcase. A similar watch was worn under a jacket with the wire in the sleeve. This model was used by the KGB throughout the cold war. 
It now seems unthinkable considering progress in technology. A complete set is almost impossible to find. It was made by the German company, Minifon and cost 350 dollars at that time (1953), which would be around 4000€ in 2014. The Hanhart brand is watch brand that still exists and gave Minifon permission to use their name. To be clear, there is no movement in the watch, in its' place you will find the microphone, the buckle is not attached to the strap but it is included.
