Legendary classic, engraved serial number, wood case and completely new needle with brush

This is a legendary cartridge. One of the best cartridges ever made. 
You will find this gem in nearly any audiophile vintage record player. 
The 681 triple e ‘calibration standard’ is not made by STANTON anymore, so they are becoming rare.. 

The STANTON 681 eee was released around the 1970s. 
Soon, this ‘triple e’ was used by record companies as reference for the produced sound on the record. 
The sound is accurate, precise and clear. That is why this was quickly used as a calibration cartridge. 

A serial number has been engraved into the cartridge. 
The cartridge is supplied in the original STANTON woodcase with original contents, consisting of: 
1. Documentation, like original warranty and user manual and assembly instructions, even the receipt form 1985. 
2. Mini box, with the original mounting screws 
3. Original mini screwdriver 
4. Excellent needle 
5. The well-known brush which filters the last pieces of dust, before the needle goes into the grooves. 

Stanton advises to set the weight at 1.3 grams. 
If the brush is used, it is advised to increase the weight with 1 gram.
