Mortar Iron Cross German WWI

Cast iron mortar with an Iron Cross from 1914-1917. 

This mortar was received during the First World War in exchange for a bronze or copper mortar that was handed in to help the German war industry to precious metals. 

Beautiful, original historical object. 15 cm high, diameter 13.5 cm calyx. Bottom diameter 9 CM.  No pestle
This mortar has signs of wear and tear but is in very good condition. 
It says 1914 on the front and 1917 on the back. Image Iron Cross on both sides by date.
The pestle has a weight of over 2 kg.
