Leo Setz

Painting by the Dutch nature painter Jan Wessels. Depicting ducks in a bog/heath forest landscape in the spring. Technique with soft light, with mist and stillness of the bushes and nature. Jan Wessels has exhibited several times at the Woodson Art Museum in Wisconsin, USA during the 'Bird in Art exhibition'. The painting and frame are in excellent condition. The painting was bought in the Dutch hunting museum, Fountainallee 2B, 6865 ND Doorwerth. The purchase price was 4200 guilder. Can be verified by the museum and painter. In order to prevent damage to the painting, the painting can be picked up or delivered (against shipping costs).
In October 2003, the 144-page book "Jan Wessels, Natuur- en wildschilder" was published. 
The biography was written by Roely Boer and many images were recorded in full-colour from Jan's paintings.
